Rowland Brothers International Department has been established since 1970 and over the years has acquired over 500 agents worldwide. Most of these agents have been working with us for approximately 36 years and due to the longevity of this partnership and the loyalty we have built up over the years we can satisfy the customer in providing a professional, courteous, sympathetic service.
We arrange repatriations for many Insurance / Assistance companies and private individuals who may be working abroad or have emigrated abroad. We work with the Metropolitan Police, Foreign office, British Embassies and Consulates abroad to name but a few.
When we receive instructions to organise a repatriation we act immediately to eliminate any further delays or problems if our own agent is not involved.
The services we provide are as follows:
Full Repatriation Service to and from any country in the World including:
- Standard Zinc Lined Coffin
- Full Embalming according to local country rules and regulations
- All Relevant documentation and Permits applicable to allow repatriation
- Booking Flight with Charter or Schedule Airline. Due to Rowland Brothers long standing relationship with numerous airlines we can provide very reasonable return flights to return the deceased back to Great Britain. We have negotiated special flat rates with many airlines here in England and also with airlines abroad so families are not paying excessive flight charges unnecessarily.
- Return of Luggage and Personal Effects
- Provision of Counselor if necessary in country concerned
- Transfer of relatives to Airport for check in if necessary at airport of departure
- Meeting Relatives on arrival airport in the UK and assisting them with passport control and collection of their luggage
- Facilities of Private Room to meet relatives with provision of refreshments while waiting for customs clearance of deceased
- Customs Clearance and handling at Arrival airport
- Collection of deceased from UK Airport and transfer to receiving Funeral Director 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week
- Translation of Death certificates
- Unsealing the coffin and removing the zinc lining if requested
- We can organise the local Funeral in England if the family so requests - no distance is too far
The staff we have recruited speak French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Arabic and Italian therefore eliminating any language problems families may face abroad. We communicate with families and various associations involved in the repatriation process to keep them updated on the procedures of a repatriation as it progresses through the usual steps. If a family has no insurance we provide prompt reasonable estimates so they can arrange the necessary financial issues.
